Boudoir Photography in Corpus Christi: What to Expect at Your First SessionIf you have been searching for boudoir photography in Corpus Christi, you have probably found a lot of pretty images and very few actual answers. What does it cost? How long does it take? What happens when you walk in the door? This post answers all of it. Wet Silver Boudoir is a luxury boudoir studio on S Staples Street in Corpus Christi, and this is exactly how a session works here. What is a boudoir session, actually?A boudoir session is a portrait session where the focus is you. Not a family group, not a headshot for LinkedIn, not a milestone someone else is celebrating. Women book boudoir photography for a partner, for an anniversary, for a birthday, after a divorce, after losing a parent, after finishing chemo, and very often for no reason at all except that they wanted to see themselves clearly for once. You do not have to be undressed. Some clients shoot in a silk robe and nothing more revealing than that. Others bring lingerie. Both are boudoir. You set the line and it does not move. Sessions at Wet Silver Boudoir are for women only. How much does boudoir photography cost in Corpus Christi?Pricing here has two parts, and it helps to understand both before you compare studios.
$400
Session fee. Studio time, professional hair and makeup, wardrobe guidance, and the shoot itself.
$799
Image collections start at. Ten fully edited images.
$1,999
Most popular collection. An 8x8 luxury album with up to 35 images, a metal or acrylic cover image, and social media files of every image in the collection.
Hair and makeup are not an upsell here. They are included in the session fee. Extended payment plans are available on collections. They work like layaway, which means the album is not ordered until the collection is paid in full. If you want to use a payment plan and you have a deadline in mind, book early and give yourself room. What happens on the day of your boudoir session?Plan to give the studio your whole day. A boudoir session is not a thirty minute appointment, and no other client is booked around yours.
Album design happens after you leave. Once your images are chosen, the album is designed around those specific photographs instead of forcing them into a template. What do I wear to a boudoir shoot?Bring more than you think you need, then narrow it down at the studio. Pieces that work well on camera:
Skip anything with tight elastic on the day of the shoot. Sock lines and bra marks take an hour to fade. Loose clothes on the drive over, always. Do I need to lose weight or be a certain age first? No, and this is the single most common thing women say before booking. Clients here have ranged from their twenties into their sixties and across every size the lingerie industry makes and several it does not. Posing does most of the work people assume the body has to do. You will be shown exactly where to put your hands, your chin, your weight, and your eyes. Nobody walks in knowing how to do this. How long until I get my images and album?Retouching takes up to one week after your session. If you order an album, the album itself takes up to four weeks to arrive after it is ordered. If you are shooting for a specific date, a wedding, an anniversary, the holidays, count backward and add buffer. Books arrive when books arrive. Where is the studio? The studio serves Corpus Christi, Portland, Ingleside, Rockport, Kingsville, Robstown, and the wider Coastal Bend. Clients regularly drive in from San Antonio and the Rio Grande Valley for a session. Frequently asked questionsDo you photograph men or couples?Boudoir sessions at this studio are for women only. Is hair and makeup included?Yes, in the session fee. You arrive with a clean face and dry hair and everything is done for you at the studio. Can I bring a friend with me?No. Sessions are one on one. It is you, your photographer, and the hair and makeup chair. Most women are surprised by how much easier that makes it to relax. Will my photos be posted online?Only with your written permission. Plenty of clients never share a single frame, and that is a completely normal way to do this. How far in advance should I book?Boudoir dates are held with a retainer and sessions fill weeks out. If you want a payment plan or you are working toward a specific date, book earlier than feels necessary. What if I need to cancel? The retainer holds your date and is not refundable, since that date is taken off the calendar for the whole day. If the exact date is rebooked with an equivalent session, a refund or credit can be arranged. Ready to book?If you have been circling this idea for months, you are not unusual. Most women who walk through the door here have been thinking about it for a year or more. Text 361-445-4661 or check available dates below. Check available dates |
