The Boudoir Album Gift: How to Time Your Corpus Christi Session for the Holidays and Valentine's Day

I'm Lori, owner and photographer at Wet Silver Boudoir, a luxury boudoir photography studio in Corpus Christi, Texas. Here's everything you need to know about giving (and getting) the most unforgettable gift of the year, including exactly when to book so it arrives on time.

Why a Boudoir Album Is the Gift Nobody Forgets
Most gifts get used up, worn out, or tucked in a closet by February. A boudoir album does the opposite. It gets better with time.

This isn't a folder of files sitting on your phone. It's a printed, hand-designed luxury album, the kind of thing you hold in your lap and turn page by page. The images are fully retouched, the cover is finished in metal or acrylic, and every spread is designed around your favorite photos.

And then there's the moment he opens it. You'll want to watch his face. 

Who Is a Boudoir Gift Really For?
Here's the secret most women don't expect: the gift is the excuse, but the session is for you.

• For your husband or partner. A boudoir album is a deeply personal holiday, anniversary, or Valentine's Day gift. It says "I chose you" in a way nothing from a store can.

The Holiday Timeline: When to Book Your Boudoir Session

This is the part that matters most right now, so let's do the math together.

1. Session day. You arrive, we do your hair and makeup, and we photograph. That same afternoon, we sit down together and you choose your favorite images.
2. Retouching: up to one week. I personally retouch every image you selected.
3. Album production: up to four weeks. I design your album and it's handcrafted and delivered to the studio.

That's about five weeks from session day to album in hand. To have your album for the holidays, book by November 8.

Every boudoir session gets my entire day, so I only photograph one boudoir client per day. That means holiday dates are limited, and only a few remain. If you've been thinking about it, this is your sign.

Planning a Valentine's Day Boudoir Gift Instead?If the holidays feel too close, Valentine's Day is a beautiful alternative. Book your session before the end of 2026 and your album will be ready for February 14.

Bonus: booking a winter session means you get to walk into the new year feeling like a whole new woman. Not a bad way to start 2027.

What Happens at a Wet Silver Boudoir SessionIf you've never done a boudoir photoshoot before, you're in good company. Most of my clients haven't. Here's what to expect.

• Hair and makeup are included. You arrive with a clean face and clean hair, and I handle the rest.
• I guide every pose. You don't need to know how to model. I'll tell you exactly where to put your chin, your hands, and your shoulders, and I'll show you on the back of the camera as we go.
• Studio or beach. Sessions take place at my private studio on South Staples Street. I also offer beach boudoir on the Corpus Christi coast: think swimsuit edition, sun, sand, and still very much boudoir.
• It's just you and me. Clients don't bring friends or guests to a boudoir session. That privacy is what lets you relax and actually enjoy yourself.
• Women only. Wet Silver Boudoir is a women-only studio, created by a woman, for women.
• Same-day image selection. We look through your images together the afternoon of your session. You choose your favorites, then go home and relax while I design your album.

Choosing Your Gift: Boudoir Albums and Collections
Your session fee is $400. It includes professional hair and makeup and holds your date on my calendar.

From there, you choose the collection that fits your gift:

• Collections start at $799 for ten fully edited images.
• The most popular collection is $1,999. It includes an 8x8 luxury album with up to 35 images, a metal or acrylic cover image, and social media files of your collection images delivered in the photo app.

Interest-Free Payment Plans for Boudoir Collections
A luxury album shouldn't mean a January credit card bill, so I offer interest-free payment plans on every collection. (Your session fee is paid in full when you book, since that's what holds your date.)

After you book, you may choose one of two options:

• Prepayment plan. Spread your collection into installments over the months leading up to your session.
• Layaway. Pay at your own pace. Your album is ordered and made, then held safely at the studio until your collection is paid off. Many clients pay it off early so they can come pick it up sooner.

If your album is a holiday or Valentine's gift, plan to have your layaway balance paid off before the big day so it's ready to wrap.

How long does it take to get my boudoir album? About five weeks. Retouching takes up to one week after your session, and your album takes up to four weeks to arrive.

Do I need a certain body type for boudoir photography? No. Boudoir is for every woman, at every size, age, and season of life.
I've never posed for photos before. Is that a problem? Not at all. I guide you through every pose from start to finish.
Do I need to hire my own hair and makeup artist? No. Hair and makeup are included with every boudoir session.
Can I bring a friend to my boudoir session? No. Sessions are private, just you and me, so you can fully relax.
Can I pay for my boudoir album over time? Yes. Every collection has an interest-free prepayment or layaway option.
