NAILS
To mani/pedi or not to mani/pedi? That is the question.
Yes. The answer is always yes. One of my favorite ways to unwind is to get a mani/pedi. Most clients are so focused on their hair, makeup, and wardrobe that they forget about their nails. Not only will this help you get relaxed and ready for your shoot, but it's important that your hands and toes are ready for their close up.
Your hands and feet WILL be in your images, so you want to make sure they're looking their best, too! A nice and neutral color looks best in photos. Our favorites are OPI's Bubble Bath, Put it in Neutral, Tickle Me France-y or even a French Manicure.
Stay away from any busy patterns or bold colors- you want to make sure YOU are the focus of your shoot!
Pro tip: It always looks best in photos when your toes match your nails. If pedicures aren't your thing, at least make sure the polish isn't chipped. Personally, we think this is a perfect opportunity to treat yourself on the pedi.

TANS
To tan or not to tan? That is the question. Everyone loves a tan! Everyone except the camera. A camera will read too much red in the surface bronzers. So what to do? If you would like to spray tan, please make sure you do it AT LEAST three days before your session and then give your skin a GOOD SCRUB in the shower the day before your session. You MUST remove the surface bronzer. Your skin will still maintain a deeper tone, but you won't look like an oompa loompa ;)
I've spoken with the owner of Beach Babe Tans, and they offer "clear" tans - no bronzer. This would be the best option.
