The Evening

Everybody has that friend

The one who walks in with a grazing board that looks like it came from somewhere expensive. This month, you become her.

You will build your own board from start to finish, on a wooden tray that goes home with you. Not a plate of food pushed around until it looks full. A real one, with structure and height and a reason behind every piece.

It is a skill, not a craft project. The next time you are asked to bring something, or someone drops by, or you want a table to look like you tried, you will know what to buy, how much of it, and exactly how to lay it out.

Just in time for a season of people in your kitchen.

How the Night Goes

Four parts, two hours

    Arrive

    Come in, get a drink, say hello. There is a finished board on the table to study while everyone settles.

  2. 02
    Watch

    Lori builds one board start to finish and talks through every choice, in the order that actually works.

  3. 03
    Build

    Your turn at the supply table, with help whenever you want it and none when you do not.

  4. 04
    Eat

    Photograph it first, because you will want to. Then dinner is the thing you just made.

What to Bring

Just yourself

Everything is provided, including the tray you take home. Come hungry.

One thing to know before you come: these boards include nuts, dairy, and gluten. If you have a food allergy or a sensitivity, tell us when you book. We would much rather know before we shop than after you arrive.

Lori is a photographer and certified makeup artist who built Wet Silver around a simple belief: women deserve rooms where they are looked after instead of looked over.

These evenings are free, they are small on purpose, and they have no agenda beyond the one on this page. She makes the board at every single one of them, which is how this month's subject picked itself.
