Shibari is Japanese for “to tie.” It has come to mean many things, but we showcase the sensual art of skin and rope. For fine art Shibari portraits, the model is the canvas and the rope rigger is the artist. The rope is simply the medium. The photographer lights the image and captures the art. Shibari showcases a certain vulnerability alongside strength. In an erotic application, Shibari can be used in such a way that the knots stimulate pressure points, making it erotic, sensual, and powerful. 

Our goal is simple… to visually capture the art, the texture, the power, and the sensuality that is Shibari.

Shibari is a time and labor commitment. Our rope artist, Mollie Lyons, will create the rope art during your session. She will ensure you are comfortable and that rope is properly adjusted. 

Shibari sessions are not eligible for sales or session fee specials.
